Why do you have pain or limited movement?

The problem is that most of us do the same limited range of movements over and over again, day after day.

This can be sitting or standing for long periods, training for a sport requiring repetitive actions, healing from an injury, or even spending lots of time scrolling and swiping on your phone.

This means you only use the same few muscle groups for much of the time and you are then working them so hard, you are training them to be really strong.

The activities you only do some of the time require the use of those muscles you rarely use, which are weak and possibly asleep and snoring from lack of use!

When the unused muscles are called on every once in a while to work, they are not able to do their job, so they may be injured when they try, or this job will then also fall to the strong muscles.

This means the strong muscles are now doing their own job and a job they are not designed to do and they will ultimately become injured too.

The body develops many muscle imbalances which alter your posture and limit your movement further.

Myth #1. It's because I'm getting old

Whilst you may be getting older, that doesn't mean you can't be older and pain free and move with confidence.

What really happens is that the more years you live, the more time you have spent working some muscles and not others and the more injuries you have aquired along the way.

Your posture is altered and your body is not functioning as a unit but it will always work to find a way by using ANY muscles available

Life changes such as retirement from work or giving up favourite activities further limit your experience of a full range of movement.

You move less then run out of functional muscles and then things become more difficult. Then you do even less to avoid pain or injury and the cycle continues.

You start to feel weak and frail, which makes you do even less.


If you correct the imbalances you can restore function - no matter what age you are or what your diagnosed 'condition' is.

Myth #2. Yoga and exercise classes haven't helped so this won't work either.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing yoga, jogging or exercise classes, but if the body you are bringing to those activities is wonky and unbalanced, then you may be just helping the wonkiness to either stay the same or at worst, be stronger and stronger!

Everyone has lived their own unique life resulting in their own specific imbalances, which are not the same as anyone else.

Our method is all about looking at YOUR unique and specific imbalances and then designing a programme to wake up your lesser used muscles and give the overworked ones a lot less to do.

Your pain will start to diminish and your body will learn to function as a unit again. THEN you can go and do all the activities you want or sit still as long as you want because you will always know how that impacts your movement and how to offset that impact.
